Farnace: Contemporary Czech Premiere

 Opera! Vivaldi wrote more than forty of them. One of the most popular is the drama of love, death and hope with the struggle for power called Farnace. Its five versions of the libretto include the versions from Venice, Prague from 1730, Mantua, Treviso and Pavia from 1731. The last one was commissioned by Joseph Johann Adam, Prince of Liechtenstein, and will be performed in its contemporary Czech premiere at the Valtice Castle Theater at LVMF 2021 exactly 290 years since its premiere.
